ZIG ZAG is based in Carlingford Lough, Ireland. This 26' Westerly Centaur is a 1977 B plan layout. The blog is administered by a Marine Biology Honours graduate from Liverpool University. Originally from the ex-fishing port of Fleetwood, Lancashire, he has lived in Warrenpoint, Ireland since 1993. Zig Zag sails the east coast of Ireland, and gradually further afield....

ZIG ZAG winter lift out 2018
ZIG ZAG safely lifted !
Zig Zag was safely lifted out from Warrenpoint recently, and taken to rest on my front lawn for the winter. What a view from my front window ! Winter maintenance can now begin ! Thanks to a great crane lift from Kenny Ward, 07977106216

Atilla set out on 'COMINO', his 21' Hurley from Dun Laoghaire, Ireland, last year. He sailed down to Spain, Portugal, the Canaries, Cape Verde Islands, across the Atlantic, through the Panama Canal, past the Galapagos Islands and across the Pacific ocean !!! Here is his latest video, from the Marquesas Islands in the Pacific. Since this video he has now reached FIJI !!

This took place over the weekend of Saturday and Sunday, May the 19th and 20th, at the Queen's Quay, Titanic Quarter, Belfast. Great weather, big crowds, loads of annoying kids and massive queues to get on the Tall Ships. Hence, our photos are from the quayside...
