Skipper of 'Vivienne Claire' visits Carlingford Lough

'Zig Zag' welcomed Albert Scott and daughter Debbie, from Fleetwood, on their recent visit to Ireland. A cruise, on a windless day, up to Narrow Water, and over to Carlingford, was in order.

Albert is the owner of a 10 metre Beneteau, 'Vivienne Claire', based in Fleetwood marina. A real old salt, he first went to sea in 1952, spending a large part of his working life in many Fleetwood trawlers, in Icelandic, Faroese and Scottish waters.

He has sailed his own boats for over 30 years, mainly single-handed, all over the Irish sea, the Isle of Man, Scotland and Ireland - North and South, and was the lead boat in the delivery of 'Zig Zag' last year from Fleetwood to Ardglass.
